Dani Brozowski is running for US Congress IL-16
Dani Brzozowski is a community leader and activist from LaSalle, Illinois. Dani comes from a
military family that moved all over, but found a home in LaSalle in the late 90s. Her family
struggled to get ahead for all of her childhood, relying on food stamps to put food on the table,
living in trailers with holes in the walls and driving cars that broke down as often as they drove
them. She graduated high school in LaSalle, went to Purdue University, and then lived in
Chicago for a few years before moving back home so that she could give back to a community
that had given her a great deal.
As she opened up her own small business, made a career working in non-profits, and became
Chair of the LaSalle County Democratic Party, she saw that the struggles her family endured
had become even more common. Life wasn’t getting easier for working people – it was getting
harder. Dani is running for Congress for the working families of Illinois’ 16th district who have
seen their quality of life worsen while those at the top are doing better than ever. She’s running
to give them a chance, and to give them the voice they deserve in Congress.
